Overview

Work together as a team of two, with mental health experienced volunteer in connecting with adult residents of the municipality of Wood Buffalo on a personal level to ensure they feel supported following the Wild Fire Disaster. Ensure residents have access to services they require, and engage the community to promote recovery and overall wellbeing and if need arises refer them to appropriate service. Provide individual with information/resources. Gather information about services that individuals are accessing and those that are not being accessed

Criteria for Community Volunteer

  • registered as a volunteer through a partner organization
  •   must be 18 years of age or older

About CARE Wood Buffalo

CARE is an initiative aimed at connecting residents with each other as well as supports in the community.  We are here today to connect with you and provide you with a link to community services. CARE WB will be doing our Pilot Home to Home (H2H) of 1000 homes, expected for April/May and June.
